Program Planner
In the Department of Homeless Services and Housing there are many Human Services Program Planners (which is a job classification title). At this time we have vacancies for this position. A Program Planner is a dynamic role in the Department performing work in a diversity of roles ranging from working with our shelter partners, outreach services, re-housing programs and more. There are several departments that also have program planner positions that provide critical work to the community such as Human Assistance, Health Services and Child, Family & Adult Services. This is a continuous filing exam – which essentially means you can get on the list at any time.
Program Manager
In the Department of Homeless Services and Housing there are two Human Services Program Managers (which is a job classification title). At this time we have one vacancy for this position. A Program Manager is a dynamic role in the Department performing work in a diversity of roles ranging from working with our shelter partners, outreach services, re-housing programs and more. There are several departments that also have program manager positions that provide critical work to the community such as Human Assistance, Health Services and Child, Family & Adult Services. This is a limited continuous filing exam. The next filing cut-offs are at 5:00 pm on 10/6 and 12/1/2023.

Q: I don't understand the County's hiring process?
A: The way the County application process works is that you apply to meet the qualifications for the above positions. Should you meet the qualifications, then you get ranked and put on that position's list. Then once a Department such as DHSH is looking to hire and has a vacancy, we pull the eligible list for that position for folks that we will consider for an interview.
